Who doesn’t love the weekend? I’m pretty sure even us unemployed folk enjoy it because it’s finally the time when your friends and loved ones have time to play and do nothing with you. Sleeping in, breakfasts and drinks with friends is everything you’ve been waiting for all week.
But then Monday comes around again and while everyone else goes back to work you wonder what to do.
So after you’ve slept in, had your coffee, checked your facebook and all of your numerous e-mail accounts and Twitter updates here are a few things you could do this week:
1. Head over to a museum to walk around, learn something new, people watch and just get out of the house.
*Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum– Adult tickets are $12, if you have a current student ID your admission is only $5! If you decide to make this your museum week and visit the MFA and the Gardner Museum within a two-day period you get $2 off the Gardner entrance fee. The most unusual deal is for those named Isabella as you have free entry for life. And if this week we need to wish you a happy birthday then you get free admission on your special day. Visit the website for more information.
2. Go ahead, go out on the town with your friends!
*Splash Ultra Lounge and Burger Bar hosts Rush Hour from 5pm to 10pm starting this Thursday. The event includes a complimentary food buffet but make sure to RSVP at BostonEventGuide.com
3. Take some classes.
*central bottle wine + provisions on Mass ave. in Cambridge is holding Dessert and Wine pairing night from 6-8pm this Tuesday. You get to pair four different desserts with four wines for $10!
So go take that shower, get out of the house and do something new so you can keep the conversation interesting after being asked “so…what did you do today?”
